AI capacity, used as needed
Credits are used only when SIMS runs AI. More computation uses more credits; less uses fewer. SIMS manages the underlying models, routing, and tools, so there is no rate table to decode.
Every settled AI charge appears as a separate ledger entry with its date, amount, and resulting balance.
Organization admins see the balance, purchases, exact ledger charges, and usage breakdowns. Members see a percentage-only gauge; dollar amounts and billing controls remain with admins.
Purchased credits do not expire merely because time passes. Tax is added at checkout, and automatic top-up is optional and off until an admin enables it.

Pricing and billing questions
What does SIMS Cloud cost?
Creating your organization is free, with no subscription, paid feature tier, or per-seat fee. The core scientific platform is included without a card. Add prepaid credits only when you want AI to work for you.
Do you charge per member, workspace, or department?
No. Members, workspaces, and departments are unlimited; there is no per-item fee or higher tier to unlock. Unlimited describes the commercial model. Reasonable security, capacity, and acceptable-use safeguards still apply.
Can SIMS charge me automatically?
SIMS makes no automatic charge unless an administrator separately enables automatic top-up, chooses its threshold and amount, and saves the recurring-charge disclosure. Otherwise every top-up is a one-time purchase.
What happens if we hit zero credits?
AI work already underway may finish using the credits reserved when it started. New AI work waits until an admin tops up the balance. The rest of SIMS stays available, so your team can continue with controlled content, issued records, processes, tasks, reviews, and collaboration.
Do unused credits expire?
No. Purchased credits do not expire merely because time passes. Refunds, reversals, and disputes can remove the corresponding credits under the Terms.
Can I get a refund for unused credits?
Prepaid credits are generally non-refundable except where required by law. Approved corrections and balance changes resulting from refunds or disputes are recorded in billing history.
Can I see what my team spends?
Organization admins see balances, purchases, and settled AI charges. Usage can be reviewed by AI teammate, member, document, and workspace, with unattributed work called out rather than hidden.
Is our data used to train AI models?
Finepoint Science does not sell your content or use it to train generalized AI models. When you request an AI feature, selected prompts, files, and context are sent to contracted external AI providers for processing.
Can AI make final decisions?
AI can analyze, calculate, compare, and propose. Named people remain responsible for consequential scientific, quality, manufacturing, and administrative decisions, approvals, and signatures.
