Credits work like fuel
You top up credits in advance and AI work spends them. More use costs more, less use costs less. That's the whole model.
100 credits equal US$1. Before September 1, 2026 at 00:00 UTC, Sonnet 5 costs 370 credits per 1M input tokens, 1,850 per 1M output tokens, 37 per 1M cache-read tokens, 462.5 per 1M five-minute cache-write tokens, and 740 per 1M one-hour cache-write tokens. From that instant, those rates become 555, 2,775, 55.5, 693.75, and 1,110 credits. US-only inference adds 10%; provider tools are charged at provider cost times 1.85. Effort level changes how many tokens a task uses.
Organization admins see the balance in dollars, the full ledger, and top up by card. Members see a usage gauge or nothing at all: each organization admin chooses, and member views never show dollar figures.
A top-up is a one-time prepaid purchase with tax added at checkout. Credits do not expire and are generally non-refundable except where required by law. SIMS makes no automatic charge unless an administrator separately enables automatic top-up.

What does SIMS Cloud cost?
There is no subscription or per-seat fee. Documents, workflows, signoff, and audit history remain available without a card. AI work uses prepaid credits at the published rates.
Can SIMS charge me automatically?
Only after an administrator explicitly enables automatic top-up, chooses its threshold and amount, and saves the recurring-charge disclosure. Otherwise every top-up is a one-time purchase.
What happens if we hit zero credits?
Your documents, records, and signoffs stay available, and your team keeps working. AI bots pause until an admin tops up the balance.
Do unused credits expire?
No. Credits stay on your balance until you spend them.
Can I get a refund for unused credits?
Prepaid credits are generally non-refundable except where required by law. Corrections, provider failures, refunds, and disputes are recorded in the billing ledger.
Can I see what my team spends?
Organization admins see the balance and every transaction in dollars. Members see a usage gauge or nothing: the admin decides.
Is our data used to train AI models?
No. Your documents stay yours and are not used to train models.
